Zuleta Ruiz Diego Fausto

Diego Fausto Mauricio Zuleta Ruiz was born on 15 July 1963 at the Luz Castro de Gutierrez hospital. At the age of 7 he went to the José Maria Bernal School; he was a hyperactive child. Subsequently he attended primary and secondary school. He was more interested in art and technology and did not want to spend a lot of time at the school desk or listen to the teachers. He then went to a vocational school for three years. Already as a young person he travelled around the country. His longest trip took him to the Amazon. When he came back his father let him work for him and had him learn carpentry. His father died in an accident. Despite this, he dedicated himself to carpentry, set up his own workshop and made a lot of furniture. Besides his work at the workshop he travelled through Central America and pursued other business opportunities. But the business did not do well so he came back to Medellin. He resumed his work at the workshop, had many contracts and was very content. An accident completely turned his life around. He nevertheless tries to see the positive side in things and has found the way to fine arts and to painting which he really enjoys. He has received lessons from other disabled friends and is going to attend an elementary art school.
