Vendelius Lena Maria

The foot-painter Maria Vendelius was born on 28 September 1968 in Jönköping and grew up in Habo. Ms Vendelius was born with no arms, and her left leg is so much shorter than the right that she has to wear a prosthesis. She drives her own car, using her feet to steer. Ms Vendelius hopes to become a singer and is studying at the Academy of Music in Stockholm. She is particularly keen on gospel music and jazz. Ms Vendelius is also a very good swimmer and has competed in the Para-Olympics.
