Vargas Guzman Jorge Hipolito

At the age of 23 Jorge Hipolito Vargas Guzman worked as a truck driver for a brewery. In July 2003, he was involved in a grave truck accident - while working - on one of the main roads of Cúcuta. He sustained an injury to his head and to his spinal cord at the C4, C5, and C6 cervical vertebrae. Through his therapist he heard about mouth painting artist and VDMFK Student Member Nestor Raul Ruiz Portilla. He was amazed by the artistic skill of the mouth painter and, among other things, heard about the existence of the Association. Jorge Hipolito Vargas Guzman was thrilled about the idea of learning to paint with his mouth, and he is now receiving regular painting lessons from Mr Portilla.
