Tsai Ming-Chang

Tsai-Ming Chang was born on 20 October 1962. In 1993, while working as a scaffolder, he fell from the fourth storey of a building and broke a cervical vertebra. The accident resulted in complete paralysis of his upper and lower limbs. At the Taur Yuan Spinal Cord Asylum for paralysed patients he first tried to paint using his mouth. He has grown to like painting a lot because his art gives him a feeling of light-heartedness.
