Trillo Matos Jimmy Jesús

Jimmy Jesús Trillo Matos was born on 29 July 1989 in Chincha with arthrogryposis multiplex congenita. The disease prevents Jimmy Trillo from using his hands and feet. At six, he attended a special school for the handicapped, where he learnt to draw. Computer and art courses stimulated his interest in painting, and he learnt to create shadows and landscapes with a pencil and paint watercolours. Until he was fifteen, he had a series of operations. After school, Jimmy Jesús Trillo Matos continued to teach himself autodidactically by watching Internet tutorials and painting in his spare time. A friend introduced him to the Association, and with him he visited publisher Olga Tito. Despite his handicap, Jimmy Jesús Trillo Matos is active and in good form. He lives with his parents in Lima, and is supported by his two elder brothers.
