Ronald Dale Tabor was born in Boone County, State of Arkansas, on 10 April 1948 and both his arms and legs are paralysed. He attended primary and secondary school as well as university in Arkansas. In 1969, he was seriously injured in a car accident which left him quadriplegic. In 1970, he began painting with his mouth. He taught himself how to do mouth painting. He became a Student Member of the VDMFK in 1987 and an Associate Member in 2011. Two years later, in 2013, he was awarded the status of Full Member of the VDMFK.

Since January 1986, he has been a member of the group "Heart of the Ozarks Art + Crafts Guild". He predominantly paints landscapes and animals and, in doing so, uses acrylic and oil techniques. Ronald Dale Tabor has repeatedly participated in exhibitions and has had solo exhibitions. The multi-talented mouth painter has had widespread press coverage.
