Santisteban Gilberto Sandoval

Gilberto Santisteban was born on 22 September 1978 in Lambayeque (Peru) without arms. He completed primary and secondary school. In 1998, he prepared for a degree in law, but unfortunately he was not accepted. Since his earliest childhood, he carried out everyday tasks with his feet, amongst other things painting and drawing with his left foot, even to this day. When he heard about the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists from a friend, he contacted the local publishing house and found out about the opportunities there. As Gilberto Santisteban had always been involved with art, and showed an interest in drawing, he took painting lessons. His foot painted pictures showed a wide spectrum of motifs, from landscapes to still life.
