Sara Raquel Ramos Mori was born on 24 October 2004 in San Juan de Miraflores (Lima, Peru). She was born with arthrogryposis multiplex. She spent the first 4 years of her life in Villa el Salvador undergoing a series of operations interspersed with physiotherapy at the San Juan de Dios Clinic. Her mother and grandmother were always at her side. In 2008 the family moved to the suburb of Pucusana, where Sara Raquel went to kindergarten. There she met the teacher Irma, who taught her how to write with her mouth. Sara Raquel started at the "Carlos Manuel Cox" primary school at the age of 6. When she was 8, she and her family moved back to Villa el Salvador, where she continued with her education at the "Apostol Santiago" school and learnt to draw. Sara Raquel Ramos Mori likes to talk and play with her classmates, but she also works hard in order to get good grades.  Sara Raquel has also been an extremely keen drawer and painter ever since she was small.  She is really pleased to have met the teacher Inés, as Inés taught her to draw and has helped her to continually improve and to paint lovely pictures.
