Puerto Villamizar Juan Carlos

Juan Carlos Puerto Villomzar lives in the city of Arauca, on the banks of the eponymous river lining the border to Venezuela. About seven years ago, when chasing a football, he jumped into the river without previously checking the depth of the water. This resulted in a fracture of his cervical vertebrae and a spinal cord injury which left him completely quadriplegic. Two-and-a-half years ago he discovered mouth painting and now wants to give life to the typical landscapes and wildlife of the Arauca plains by capturing them in beautiful paintings.
