Pralay Dey

Pralay Dey was born on 15 January 2002 in a small village in the north-eastern state of Tripura in India. Both his hands were non-functional from birth. Pralay Dey comes from a poor family, his father is a day labourer by profession and his mother is an Anganwadi worker. Although Pralay Dey's health improved in the early years, his father could not continue his son’s medical treatment for financial reasons. Already in his childhood, Pralay learned to write with his feet. Parallel to his studies, he started painting with his feet.
In the last 10 years, Pralay Dey has won many awards and recognitions at the state, national and international levels.
With his poor financial background and medical dependencies, his artistic skills are his only source of livelihood in the future.
