Bill Morales was born on 23 October 1954 in Sonsonate (El Salvador). At the young age of 14, he got Guillain-Barré syndrome. As a result, he developed a neurological weakness, which now affects both arms and legs. Bill Morales uses a motorised wheelchair, as both of his lower limbs and his right arm are limp and paralysed since 1969. After a long stay in the Rancho Los Amigos rehabilitation hospital in Downey, California, he completed college in spite of adverse circumstances, and received a B.A. in 1980, with the majors of psychology and religion from the Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California. The VDMFK member Robert Thome encouraged him to try mouth painting in May 2012. He discovered a passion for this, and from then on was able to achieve artistic progress.
