Lee Ho Sik

Ho Sik Lee was born on 5 July 1966 in Gapyoung. After completing his military service he ran a restaurant until his motorcycle accident in 1988. The accident led to a complete paralysis of all limbs and required a hospital stay of nine months as well as a two-year stay in a monastery. In 1998, when he tried to give his life new meaning, he came into contact with mouth painting for the first time. From 1998 to 2001 he taught himself to paint. From August 2001 on he received art lessons for two years. From 2005 he received a scholarship from VDMFK. In 2011 he became an Associate Member of VDMFK. He has been a Full Member of the Association since 2013.

Ho Sik Lee uses watercolours for his artwork. His favourite themes are landscapes of his home, South Korea.
