John Stewart Salamanca Sarmiento

John Stewart Salamanca Sarmiento was born in Guayabal de Siquima on 24 October 1984.
At the age of 13, he lost his arms when a power line fell on him. After losing his arms, he was also hit by a motorbike and broke his left foot in six places and his hip on the right side. Before this accident, he worked as a public bus attendant and earned some extra money. Since then, life has become complicated for him in many ways, but he can take good care of himself.
Mr. Salamanca Sarmiento graduated from high school and studied graphic design for one semester.
He loves to draw. Some of his favourite hobbies are listening to music and swimming. Sometimes he has to travel in his wheelchair to other nearby towns to earn a living by selling his drawings.
