Iihara Takashi

Born on 31 January 1970. At the age of 16 he had a traffic accident (July 1986) that resulted in complete paralysis of all four limbs. As a child he loved to decorate kites for a festival that was staged every year in his hometown. That was why he wanted to be able to paint the pictures he had loved as a child while he was at the rehabilitation centre. This was the beginning of his mouth painting career (1998). The artist paints with great enthusiasm and makes steady progress.
