As the result of a car accident in 1990 Elizabeth Hidalgo had to have her upper limbs amputated. In 1992 she laid the foundations for mouth painting. With the help of books, magazines and brochures the artist developed her artistic skills on her own. The artist predominantly paints themes form her native country.
