Gregorich Stephanie Anne

Stephanie Anne Gregorich was born with arthrogryposis and scoliosis on 7 February 1968 in Joliet in Illinois. Her limbs are stiff and immobile because of her illness, and her bones and muscles are severely weakened. Already as a child she learned to write and paint with her mouth. She completed her studies at Illinois State University with a Bachelor's degree in special needs education. After this, she worked for more than 20 years as a private tutor and taught at a primary school for three years. When she saw a mouth painter from the VDMFK on television, her interest was awakened and she taught herself to paint. When she is painting she feels a deep inner peace. She prefers to paint her varied motifs with oil paints.
