Gaxiola Fierro Claudia Maria

Claudia María Gaxiola Fierro was born on 20 November 1990 in the town of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. As she suffered from preeclampsia as an embryo, and was born prematurely as a result, she was kept in an incubator for a whole month and thus contracted cerebral palsy and spastic hypotetraplegia. She cannot use her arms and has no control over her torso (she uses a wheelchair for mobility). In September 2011, she laid the foundations for her mouth painting when she got to know the VDMFK scholarship holder and mouth painter Lidia de Jesús Cháidez López in Los Mochis, where Lidia regularly gives mouth painting lessons. Since then, Claudia has been attending those lessons and has succeeded in making remarkable progress in an extremely short time.
