Gacusan Jesica

Jesica Gacusan was born on 23 December 1988 in Oahu, Hawaii. She was born with a congenital deformity, called terminal amelia, as well as phocomelia of her left leg. She therefore has no use at all of her upper limbs. From an early age on she learned to use her left foot for everyday activities. After attending high school she studied "New media art" at the Kapiolani Community College in Oahu. She chose animation as her main subject. Painting was among the required subjects and in January 2009 she discovered her artistic talent. Currently the artist mainly paints colourful sunsets.
