Betancur Olave Cesar Augusto

Cesar Augusto Betancur Olave was born on 10 September 1978 in Cali. He is the father of two daughters, and his younger daughter lives with him. During a street shooting he was seriously wounded by a shot in the neck. The bullet damaged his spinal cord, and since then he has lost the mobility of his hands and needs help with everyday life. In 2014 he met the VDMFK scholarship holder Maria Eugenia Reyes. She gave him painting lessons for a year, during which his painting technique improved. He paints his colourful motifs in oils.
