Bannon Linda

Linda Bannon was born without arms on 21 February 1979 in Illinois. For many years, her doctors encouraged her to use prostheses to “appear normal”. At the age of twelve, she shocked her doctors by saying: “This is my normal state. If others don’t like it, they can look away.” From then on, she stopped using artificial limbs. Linda did not let her disability affect her in any way. She participated in school activities, attended high school, and graduated from college. She had to help out in the household and look after her younger siblings. Sadly, she had to give up her dream job as a teacher due to classroom exertion. Linda Bannon loves art and painting as a way of keeping in touch with her environment.
