Backo Dejana

Dejana was born on 9 December 1994. Shortly after her birth, she was diagnosed with phocomelia, a congenital condition causing deformation of the limbs, with the hands or feet attached close to the trunk. As a result, she has only rudimentary arms.

From a very young age, Dejana began using her left foot to draw and paint. Her creativity and determination have enabled her to develop impressive control and expression through her art, turning her physical challenges into a unique artistic strength.
