Pauline was born on 14 October 1976 and has lived with arthrogryposis since birth, a condition that has left her arms and legs paralysed and requires her to use a wheelchair.

She attended the Lord Mayor Treloar Schoo, in Hampshire, England and has been a student at the National Specialist College since the age of ten. There, she completed her GCSEs and went on to specialise in art. As of 1996, she has been working on her dissertation toward an A-level qualification in art and design.

Pauline enjoys experimenting with a variety of techniques, including gouache, pastel, acrylic, watercolour, and chalk. However, she particularly favours oil painting, as it best showcases her distinctive artistic style. Her mouth-painted works reveal both natural talent and deep artistic sensitivity.
