60 years ago, in March 1957, 15 mouth and foot painters met in the Waldhotel in Vaduz and founded an association that is still unique today. In those day, consideration and respect for people with physical disabilities were anything but a matter of course, which makes it all the more amazing that this small but highly determined group has grown into a worldwide self-help organisation with more than 800 mouth and foot painters. Today, just as then, the idea of solidarity amongst the mouth and foot painters takes top priority.
On the occasion of the organisation’s 60th anniversary, around 100 mouth and foot painting Artist met in Barcelona in April 2017. Beside the plenary meeting and elections to the Board of Directors, the week was peppered with a varied programme. One of the Highlight was the opening of the exhibition at the Museu Maritim in Barcelona on Wednesday, April 12th, 2017.
