The Brazilian publishing house (Pintores com a Boca e os Pés Ltda.) was awarded the State Governor’s Prize for the Arts 2026 in the “Cultural Institution” category. This prize is one of the most prestigious cultural awards in the Brazilian state of São Paulo and recognizes institutions that have made outstanding contributions to art, culture, and society.
The award ceremony took place on July 29, 2026, at the Teatro Sérgio Cardoso in São Paulo. Awards were presented in a total of 13 categories. The honor in the “Cultural Institution” category underscores the association’s exceptional contribution to the cultural life of the state. Our Associate Member Gonçalo Aparecido Pinto Borges had the special honor of accepting the award on behalf of the Brazilian publishing house at the award ceremony.
With this award, the jury recognized the association’s long-standing commitment to art, inclusion, and social participation. Through exhibitions, educational projects, and numerous public activities, the association makes a significant contribution to breaking down barriers and focusing attention on the skills and artistic creations of mouth and foot painting artists, rather than their physical limitations.
The Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists warmly congratulates the Brazilian publisher and all participating artists on this special honor. The award is a well-deserved recognition of their long-standing commitment and impressive proof that artistic excellence, inclusion, and social responsibility can be successfully combined.
