On the occasion of the International Women’s Day 2018, mouth painter Rosie Moriarty-Simmonds has been included in the Walesonline list of ‘100 Women a celebration of Wales Brilliant Women’. The writers of Wales Arts Review have nominated 100 women of Wales who they think you should be following on Twitter. Rosie Moriarty-Simmonds was Cardiff University’s first disabled student in 1985 after she became adept at writing with her mouth. As one of thousands of children born disabled by the pregnancy drug, Rosie has spent her life determined not to let it stop her doing exactly what she wanted. Today she is a recognized artist and very popular among British mouth- and foot painters.
