Monika Sharma

Monika Sharma was born on 28 January 1986 in Yamuna Nagar. Although she was born healthy, at the age of eight she had high fever and her entire body became paralysed. Later, she was diagnosed with progressive myopathy. A year after the diagnosis, Monika was able to speak again. She learnt to write and paint with a pen in her mouth, and was so ambitious that she managed to finish her art studies with a Bachelor’s degree. Monika Sharma is supported by her family in everything she does.
