Elise Cécile Zaglia

Elise Cécile Zagli was born on 2 December 1990 in Montbéliard and today lives with her partner in Alsace. She was born with arthrogryposis, which affects her upper limbs. From an early age, she learned to use her feet for many everyday tasks. After completing a double Master’s degree in accounting, controlling, and financial auditing, she now works as a clerk in sales administration. Previously, she worked there as a financial analyst and HR assistant. She speaks English and German fluently. Elise Cécile Zagli discovered her passion for watercolour painting in a local creative village association. After a longer break during her studies, she resumed painting in 2020, initially with the help of online courses, later through free experimentation. Today, watercolour painting is her most important means of expression. She is particularly inspired by flowers and plants – a passion she inherited from her father, a gardener. She shares her works on social networks, together with insights into her everyday life as a ‘handicapable’ artist.
