Grace Ranae Day was born without arms on 26 February 2008 in Omaha, Nebraska, due to a rare, non-genetic condition. Her family supported her in everything she did. From an early age, she learned to act with her feet and began drawing at the age of two. At first, she only scribbled, but at the age of four she began to draw lines. Her sister Meghan Day, a talented artist, played an important role in encouraging her creative development and continuously motivated her. At the age of eight, she began to engage more intensively with painting. In elementary school, she learned from her art teacher about the importance of colours and painting techniques. In middle school, her enthusiasm for art gained momentum again. She discovered a wide range of art forms, from watercolour and acrylic painting to digital designs and sculptures. Nevertheless, painting remains her greatest passion, which will accompany her throughout her life.
