Date of birth: 11.10.1951
Scholarship holder since: 01.09.2011
Karin was born on 11 October 1951 in Lena, Norway. In 1989, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, which gradually caused her to lose the use of her hands and legs. Before her illness, she had already been painting for many years and possessed a strong artistic background.
Several years ago, Karin began teaching herself to paint with her mouth, determined to continue expressing her creativity despite her physical challenges. Since then, her skill and confidence as a mouth painter have continued to grow.
She primarily works in acrylics, creating serene landscapes and delicate floral compositions that reflect her sensitivity and love of nature.
