Ashwell Anthony

Anthony was born on 29 January 1965 and has lived with multiple arthrogryposis since birth, a condition that prevents him from using his arms. Despite this challenge, he developed a strong interest in art from an early age.

After completing primary school, he attended Weymouth College in England, where he pursued formal studies in art and began to refine his mouth painting technique. Over the years, he has dedicated himself to his craft, painting exclusively with his mouth for more than twenty-five years.

Anthony has held four successful solo exhibitions, where his work has been admired for both its technical skill and expressive depth. His career stands as a testament to perseverance and creativity in the face of physical limitation.
