Andreasson Maria

Maria was born on 25 August 1961 in Stockholm, Sweden. She has cerebral paresis, which has resulted in severe impairment of both her arms and legs. From the age of four, she began painting with her foot, developing her artistic talent from a young age.

Maria attended primary and secondary school, followed by studies at an art school in Stockholm. She pursued her art education from 1984 to 1985 and again from 1988 to 1993, further refining her technique and creative expression.

Over the years, Maria has held numerous solo exhibitions showcasing her foot-painted works. In addition to painting, she also enjoys sculpting. Her many interests include dancing, music, theatre—where she is an active member of a theatre company—reading, and studying nature.
