Acero Duran Yesid Alexander

Acero was born on 20 October 1981 in Colombia. A former soldier, he sustained severe injuries during a skirmish with the FARC guerilla, resulting in tetraplegia and the loss of movement in his arms and legs.

Despite these challenges, he leads a fulfilling and active life. Living with his mother, he also serves as the head of his residential community, demonstrating strong leadership and determination.

Through resilience and creativity, Acero discovered a passion for art. Using a brush with great skill, he paints under the guidance of a local teacher. His works often explore religious themes and scenes inspired by his hometown, rendered in rich, expressive oil paintings.
