Javier Alberto Henao Gutiérrez

Javier Alberto Henao Gutiérrez was born on 18 February 1981 in Montenegro Quindío, Colombia. Until he was 35, he led a normal life and worked hard to feed his family of five.
In 2017, the family was involved in a traffic accident, in which Javier Alberto Henao Gutiérrez lost both arms, his wife lost her right arm and his three-year-old daughter lost her life.
Since then, it has been very difficult for Javier, as his disability hindered him in finding work. His wife left him, and he remained with his mother, who always stood by him and encouraged him to keep going.
In winter 2023, Javier discovered a school that offered painting courses. This inspired him to learn to paint with his mouth. With great love and interest, he began to develop this new skill. Before the canvas, he realised that there are no obstacles or barriers if you do something with passion and love. Painting brings him great joy, and his greatest wish is to become a professional painter one day.
In February 2024, he moved from Colombia to his daughters in Mallorca.
