Wenig Petra

The mouth-painting artist Petra Wenig was born in Landstuhl near Kaiserslautern on 31 March 1960. Petra Wenig has suffered from birth from a malformation of all her joints and hands and is tied to the wheelchair. She attended a vocational training school for the handicapped in Usberg and then started work in the arts department of the Pfennigparade Foundation. Apart from a few art courses Petra Wenig is an autodidact. She started to paint using her mouth in 1974. The artist's works were included in an exhibition in Munich Gasteig and she has contributed to the Pfennigparade Christmas bazaar. Petra Wenig's hobbies are painting, reading, TV and travel.
