Who we are

An international organization for works of great value

This community of disabled artists is owned by its members and was founded by artists who are not able to paint with their hands and therefore paint by holding the brush with the mouth or foot.

Their works are collected and sold every year as calendars or elegant greeting cards or are exhibited in art galleries where they are expected to be appreciated by connoisseurs.

In over 50 years’ activity Spam has helped artists, whose ill-fated condition has neither prevented nor will prevent them to create interesting and original works, to become well-known and admired all over the world.

Spam’s aim is to motivate those artists to develop their skills and to be able to live on their work.

Spam, therefore, which is neither a charitable organization nor a religious institution, carries out an important business activity, meaningful both on the human, social level and on the artistic one.

Thanks to the spirit guiding its activity, aiming to emphasize the value of these works, the society was able to receive a longed-for acknowledgment: the “City of Verona” Award.
