Krisztina Ábrahám was born in Arad on December 29, 1983.
She has lived in Kiskunhalas with her parents and two siblings since 1991. Krisztina was born with muscle atrophy and paralysis. She completed elementary school with good grades at the ”Pető András” Institute of Kiskunhalas. She can barely grasp with her hands, therefore she needs assistance with transportation as well. What she is able to do she does with her mouth. At the Institute they tried to achieve at least partial use of her hands, but even their joint efforts brought no result. Then she picked up the pencil with her mouth, and this is how she is able to legibly put her thoughts on paper. That’s how she got the pencils and paintbrushes in front of her; this is how she painted the gorgeous ”Sunset” on the wall of the Institute, still there today. She has been a scholarship holder of the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists since 2002. She has been participating in numerous joint exhibitions ever since, where she has learned a lot.
In Kiskunhalas, with the help of her teacher Gábor Kollarics and the Catholic Assembly, she held her own exhibition which was so successful that two local television stations had it on air. Krisztina likes to participate in musical events and hikes. She loves music and has many friends. She also loves animals very much; she has her own pet. Besides learning and maintaining relationships, she also strives for spiritual growth. She was received into the church in 2004, and she is now preparing for her confirmation.
