Painting Method: mouth and foot painter
Mr. E. Lorenza Böttmer was born in Punta Arenas/Chile on March 6, 1959. At the age of ten both of his arms had to be amputated because of a sever electrocution accident. Mr. Böttner started to concentrate on work in the fields of painting and graphics at a young age. He started doing mouth and foot painting. The young artist studied at the School of Higher Education for Fine Arts in Kassel, Germany and then spent three and a half years in New York at the University of New York City where he survived as a street- and pavement painter.
His modern, figurative works have been sought out and the exhibitions in art centers in Paris, New York, Barcelona, Berlin or Kassel are proof of this. Besides painting, his hobbies include fashion, dance, languages and sports. In 1992 he took part in the handicapped Olympics in Barcelona. Various exhibitions in Germany and around the world.
