Short Biography
Maria was born without arms on 10 November 1950 in Olímpia, São Paulo. In 1969 she began to draw and paint with her feet. Since then she has focused on depicting people in rural settings, her favorite theme. Her work has been hung in a number of exhibits throughout Brazil and South America.
